Cerro de Caisimú took its name from the height where the installation lies. From there the visitor can wach one of the most beatiful sights of the Las Tunas region, at the East of the country.
This transit installation has comfortable huts allowing the traveler to stay and rest, before he continues his journey throughout our country.
If you wish to be acquainted with the Northern region of this part of the island, you could depart from this location to visit the maritime city of Puerto Padre or the Manati town. On the bay next to the latter town, it is possible to appreciate the endemic and protected animals bearing same name, a kind of a primitive mammalian living in the estuaries of the Cuban rivers.
