DOS HERMANAS Camping

Dos Hermanas, is a place located in the heart of the Viñales valley. Mogotes (huge stones, the size of a hill) and profuse vegetation surround it. Those who wish to admire the most delicate and dreamed of dawns and dusks in the whole country will fully enjoy this camping. There the slight sunrays, outlining the mogotes silhouettes, accompanied by endemic birds of an unusual beauty because of their songs and their feathers, provide unique sights. It has 54 cabins decorated in a simple way with magnificent view of the valley, with hot and cold water, twin beds, bathroom and terrace or balcony.

Just a few meters away from this beautiful camping, is a jewel showing the artistic expression of its dwellers: The Prehistoric mural, resembling a tour through the origins of humanking and reminding of the first ways used for communicating and perpetuating its memories. Monumental project directed by the local artist Leovigildo González in 1961. It is an immense pictorial representation on the rocks, 120 m long and almost 60 m high, whose final achievement involved the work of about 20 workers for almost four years uninterruptedly. With its psychedelic colors and multiple forms, it stands out within the natural panorama as a mark of the unusual in Cuba.

From this site we organizes excursions to relatively nearby zones. There you may accede by trekking, hiking, horse riding or simply by light transport or bus, fully to admire the beauty of one of the hugest natural monuments in the entire world: Viñales valley, and be acquainted face to face with its people and their habits.

Dos Hermanas Camping is a simple but beautiful place, where the client rests in the heart of Cuban nature, fully enjoyed to admire the most beautiful and dreamed sunrises and sunsets of all Cuba. The predominant landscape is that of an intramontane valley, at the foot of the "mogote del valle" on the west side, and to the east of the "mogote de las Dos Hermanas" which gives its name to the campsite. In the vicinity of the campsite you can observe La Jagua Cave, located in the Mogote del Valle and 20-30 meters above sea level. In the area of Dos Hermanas you can practice the sport of climbing, but this sport is dangerous for children and adults.
