Villa Internacional Laguna Grande is located in an area of great biodiversity, where in an area of 15 km coexist swamps, tropical forests, beaches, reefs, and the lagoon that gives its name to the place. This area, due to the natural richness of all its species, was declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1987 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Villa Internacional Laguna Grande offers its guests the service of 12 cabins, each one for two people. All of them have air conditioning, TV, minibar, hot and cold water. There is a 24-hour reception and nursing service, a cafeteria, a bar named La Laguna and a restaurant. Villa Laguna Grande offers a variety of recreational options such as boat rentals on the lagoon, boat rides, billiard tables and visits to nearby places of interest, such as Punta Colorada beach.
Very specially, sport fishing lovers will find Villa Internacional Laguna Grande an ideal place, since daily excursions by boat or motorboat take place there, to catch the different species that abound in the lake. A specialized guide always accompanies the boats, and the tour lasts approximately four hours. Species such as Tilapias, biajacas, Chinese carp, clarias, eels and tench are among the fish that can be caught in this lagoon throughout the year. Trout have a defined fishing season between November and March, and tarpon are caught only from May to September.
