"VISIT TO THE VIÑALES VALLEY" Tour
Viñales is one of the most emblematic places in Cuba, where the incredible nature, tradition, and customs make it a must-see. We offer you the possibility to enjoy Viñales through two beautiful combined excursions that will make you enjoy an unforgettable day!
Viñales: “a destination you cannot miss!”
To discover its lesser-known side you have to visit the Viñales Valley, where farmers keep plowing the land with oxen in a place protected by Unesco. You can hike, walk, ride or ride a bike through the fantastic mogotes (rock formations) and then drop into a deckchair on a porch and daydream before giving a good account of a homemade meal in the private house where One stays.
The most wonderful thing about the main city of Viñales is that you can not only relax sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of the private house where you stay, and watch oxen and plows pass, you can also participate in all kinds of activities in this protected landscape by Unesco. You can hire a guide and go hiking, on horseback or by bicycle through the mogotes (rock formations) and enjoy the views of the valleys. Then it’s a good idea to cool off by swimming in a cave before returning to sit in the rocking chair with a cold beer in your hand and the Cuban son coming from the bars in the air. The day ends with a dinner at the house (almost all the hosts take the quality of their meals very seriously).
The limestone mogotes of the Viñales valley reach 300 m in height and are ideal for the most expert climbers, with many limestone ledges and tuff columns. A quieter experience is to visit a tobacco plantation, learn to roll a cigar and sit in the rocking chair. Within the winding landscape the traveler will be struck by oxen and plow jams with horses and carts, driven by guajiros who smoke cigars.
