"Chichen Itza Plus" Tour
Description
Chichen Itza was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people of the Terminal Classic period. The archaeological site is located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State, Mexico. It is declared by the UNESCO as World Heritage, and is considered one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World". Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and it was likely to have been one of the mythical great cities, or Tollans, referred to in later Mesoamerican literature.
The city may have had the most diverse population in the Maya world, a factor that could have contributed to the variety of architectural styles at the site. There you will find the ball game, temples, the spectacular Castle (Pyramid of Kukulkan) and the Mayan calendar stone that measures 25 meters. The Toltec warriors are represented in the engravings found around the entrance, at the top of the Castle. The local guides will provide detailed information about Chichen Itza and even take you to a Sacred Cenote.
Chichen Adventure is the first eco-adventure park of its kind in Yucatan, is located just a few minutes from the archaeological site of Chichen Itza. This amazing Park invites you to relax and enjoy the refreshing Cenote Rio Maya, tasting delicious local dishes at the buffet, driving an ATV or soaking in the peaceful environment of the jungle while riding a horse.
