Description:
This tour is one of the most complete experiences in the area, combining breathtaking valleys, mountains, and views of the sea. You will explore the cultural heart of Viñales while immersing yourself in nature, local traditions, and one of the most spectacular landscapes in Cuba.
The tour begins with a short drive from Viñales (by car or taxi) to a small valley located 6 km from the town center. From there, we start a guided hike between two valleys, where you will meet local farmers and discover a wide variety of crops. Thanks to the exceptional fertility of the soil, almost everything grows here. You will learn about traditional farming methods and visit a tobacco farm to uncover some of the secrets behind the world’s finest tobacco.
We then continue along narrow paths through forests and hills. Parts of the hike are shaded, and along the way you will reach several natural viewpoints offering stunning panoramic views of three different valleys and the ocean — views that cannot be seen from any other location. The area is rich in flora and fauna, including many species endemic to Cuba.
The descent can be adapted to the client’s preference:
- An easier route, following a path that ends in a grapefruit plantation
- A more challenging route, steeper but safe and manageable — no rock-climbing experience required, just a sense of adventure and careful footing
After the descent, we cross another valley surrounded by mogotes, with extensive tobacco and rice fields. At the end of the hike, we return to Viñales by car.

Lunch is optional and takes place at a local farm, a unique setting known for its beautiful surroundings and excellent homemade food.
Important Note
This excursion is weather-dependent. During the rainy season, trail conditions may become difficult or unsafe, and the tour may need to be rescheduled.
• Recommended: light clothing, sunglasses, water and light meals with sweet and protein, hats or caps, hard tennis or hiking boots or sandals to cross, other protective layers for seasons rain, solar protection and photographic camera.
• For the tour we recommend a water bottle.

• This tour operates without a minimum of passengers. Holiplus will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the provider decides to cancel, for reasons of force majeure or adverse weather conditions, Holiplus will offer an alternative tour or fully refund cost of your trip.

Cancellation Policy
• In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
