Stroll along the tree-lined streets connecting Calixto García Park, Parque San José, and Parque Las Flores, each revealing a different chapter of the city’s past—from its colonial origins to its role in Cuba’s wars of independence. Along the way, admire the elegant facades, museums, churches, and colorful storefronts that preserve the identity of eastern Cuba.
Your guide will introduce you to the city’s most iconic landmarks, local legends, and cultural expressions, offering a deeper understanding of Holguín’s evolution and its people. Itinerary: (tour sequence may vary)
- Pick up at hotels with specialized guide in the language of the clients,
- Start in the morning at the lobby of Saratoga Hotel, just across the main square in Holguin city.
- From there, join an interpretation tour of the historic center, stopping by the most significant places of cultural interest.
- Get to know the San Isidoro Cathedral, La Marqueta Square, the Art Gallery, the Natural Sciences Museum and La Periquera national monument.
- Walk along the Boulevard Street, from the “Origins” Mural to the church in San Jose square, with time for photos.
- Take the chance to buy Cuban cigars and enjoy a pairing of habano and rum at La Campana store.
- End up with lunch at Bodeguita del Medio restaurant, just around the corner from the pickup point.
- Return to the hotels.
- Recommended: light clothing, sunglasses, hats or caps, tennis, sandals or comfortable shoes, solar protection and photographic camera.

- Cancellations more than 72 hours before the tour: No penalty applies.
- Cancellations between 72 hours and 48 hours before the tour: a penalty of 50% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- Cancellations less than 48 hours before the tour: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- NO-SHOW: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
