"ASWAN NUBIAN VILLAGE" TOUR.

Actually Nubia was the region located in the south of Egypt and the north of Sudan, which after the end of the English colonization, was separated into two parts, one in Egypt and the other in Sudan. Today, what in ancient times was an independent kingdom, today are groups and towns that settle along the Nile valley, between the first and sixth cataracts. After the end of the English colonization, Nubia was separated into two parts, one in Egypt and one in Sudan. When the works of the great dam of Aswan and Lake Nasser began in Egypt, many Egyptian Nubians were forced to resettle elsewhere, which led to an even greater separation of these groups and populations. Today you can find Nubian villages north of Aswan, on the west bank of the Nile River and on Elephantine Island, although definitely, many Nubians live in other cities, such as Cairo, going completely unnoticed, losing their original Nubian roots.

Itinerary

• Walking tour of the area.
