"A drive through Santa Clara" Tour
Santa Clara is the capital of the province of Villa Clara, located in the central region of the country. It is an important industrial, commercial, service and communications center located in a vital highway and railroad junction. It also has an international airport. It was founded on July 15, 1689 and became a city in 1867. It was militarily taken by Commander Ernesto "Che" Guevara in December 1958 during the final stage of the revolutionary struggle led by Fidel Castro against Fulgencio Batista and Zaldívar. In the Plaza de la Revolución is the sculptural ensemble erected by sculptor José Delarra, dedicated to Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (Che). At its base there is a Mausoleum, where the remains of the renowned hero rest since 1997.
Itinerary
- Departure from Los Caneyes Hotel.
- At the Ernesto Che Guevara Revolution Square, the tour begins with a visit to the history and culture of this three-hundred-year-old city that exhibits the imprint of its benefactor, the patriot Marta Abreu, in different elements of the square and surrounding institutions.
- Visit to the Guerrillero Heroico Sculpture Complex.
- Visit to the Carmen Park (area where the city was founded, where you will also find the Carmen Church, the Vaquerito monument and the monument in honor of the first 13 families to arrive in the city).
- Tour of the Historic Center of the city.
- Visit to the Tren Blindado monument.
- Return to Los Caneyes.
- We recommend: light clothing, sunglasses, hats, tennis shoes, sandals or comfortable shoes, sun protection and camera.

Cancellation Policy
- If cancellation is made up to 72 hours prior to the time of enjoyment of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion price will be applied.
- For cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours prior to the excursion departure time, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fee will be applied.
- Please note that cancellation within 24 hours and up to the time of enjoyment of the excursion, and in case of no-show, 100% of the excursion price will be deducted.
- Note: no administrative costs or credit card fees can be refunded in case of cancellation.
