"PYRAMIDAL COMPLEX OF SAQQARA, THE ANCIENT CAPITAL OF MEMPHIS, THE CITY OF SANDINO AND THE FAMOUS MARKET OF KHAN EL KHALILI" TOUR.

Memphis or Memphis is the first capital of unified Egypt. It was Narmer, the founder of the One Dynasty, who initiated its establishment. It was known by three names: 'Inb-hd (the White Wall), Mn-nfr (Stable and Beautiful) and Mt-Rhn (the way of the Rams). It remained the capital of Egypt from the First Dynasty through the Eighth Dynasty. The creation mythology of the Triad of Ptah, Sekhmet, and Nefertem (known as the Memphis Triad) took Memphis as its center. Within the limits of Memphis, lies the Memphis Necropolis, the largest and most famous necropolis in Egypt that includes monuments to all the kings of Egypt. In his life, Alexander the Great visited the site; and after his death, he had his mother lie here for almost a year until the completion of her tomb in Alexandria.

Saqqara was the most important necropolis in Memphis from the first dynasty to Christian times. It is located west of the old capital and south of Cairo. In Saqqara is the Stepped Pyramid of Djoser, considered the first pyramid in the world and the oldest great stone structure. Here, on the edge of the Libyan plateau, we find ourselves in the kingdom of the desert, of a sacred land that dominates the Nile Valley. It is still possible to find silence and solitude in Saqqara, less attacked by the modern world than the plain of Giza . For something is this place placed under the protection of Sokaris, the god of the mysterious spaces where the resurrection takes place. Here the tombs of the pharaohs of the First Dynasty were excavated, with a raw brick superstructure and an austere exterior decoration in the "palace façade".

The Saladin Citadel is a place with a past full of momentous historical events for the current future of Egypt. Its walls and its magnificent location make it one of the most wonderful and enjoyable walks in Cairo. The Citadel of Cairo was built under the commission of Saladin between 1176 and 1183 to protect the city from European attacks. The interior of the citadel houses beautiful mosques. Among them, the Sultan Hassan Mosque stands out, which is located on the western slope, near the main entrance of the fortification. In the southern part are the palaces and stables. The Alabaster Mosque, better known as the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, also stands out.

Khan El Khalili, or Jan El Jalili, is the most famous market in Egypt and the entire Middle East. Its origin dates back to 1382, when the Mamluk Sultan Djaharks el-Khalili decided to build a resting place for merchants. The chosen place was the ruins of an ancient Fatimid cemetery. No visit to Cairo is complete without a stop at Khan el Jalili Bazaar, where you will be transported back in time to an ancient Arab souk. The market is located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, in a walled area with a medieval air in which you can breathe the magnificence of Mamluk architecture, colorful bells, fabrics, handicrafts, jewelry, spices, perfumes, musical instruments and, of course, Egyptian souvenirs and gifts ... in the narrow streets that make up the Jan market.
