"Discovering Central Cuba" Tour
We offer a wide selection of panoramic tours through the most important sites of Cuban history, culture and life today. This time we will discover the central part of the country.
FIRST DAY
Departure by air-conditioned bus, with tour guide service, from the hotels in Coco and Guillermo keys to Trinidad, patrimonial jewel of the province of Sancti Spíritus. Panoramic tour of the city of Ciego de Avila and intermediate stop at the Creole ranchón Río Azul, located on the central highway in the municipality of Majagua. Stop for photos in the Valle de los Ingenios and visit to the Manaca-Iznaga hacienda, an architectural and historical relic of the colonial period in Trinidad. Continuation of the trip to Trinidad, with panoramic tour and stop for a walking tour of the historic center of the city of Trinidad, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Includes, the tavern La Canchánchara for a tasting of a typical local drink, and the plazas Mayor and Real del Jigüe. Lunch at a local restaurant and free time for photos and visit to the handicraft market, museums and other buildings of high historical and cultural value, for its integrity and state of preservation. Lodging in private homes with dinner and breakfast included (MAP Plan) and free time in the evening.
SECOND DAY:
Departure by tourist bus to the natural park El Nicho, located in the province of Cienfuegos. Stop to board the trucks and drive to El Nicho. Walk along its various trails, with time for photos, observation of the exuberant flora and fauna, and bathing in its natural ponds or near the waterfalls of the El Negro River. Transfer to the city of Santa Clara, with a panoramic tour through the center of the town until arriving at the Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara Memorial Sculpture Complex. Visit to the memorial and the museum, where the niches that keep the remains of Che and his comrades fallen in the revolutionary struggle in Bolivia are located, as well as a permanent exhibition of photographs and personal objects that constitute a chronological journey through the life and work of the Heroic Guerrilla. Free time to take pictures around the square and the tribune. Lunch at a local restaurant and return to the keys Coco and Guillermo, with an intermediate stop at the Rio Azul Ranch to stretch your legs and go to the bathroom.
