Founded by the Office of the Historian of Havana in 1996, the San Cristobal Travel Agency S.A. is today the specialist in historical-heritage tourism and national receptive tourism of the network of offices of the historian and the curator of the heritage cities of Cuba. The founding premises of invariable validity for the organization are to propitiate a professional and orderly approach to the Cuban heritage by means of its rigorous communication and interpretation and to contribute economically to the process of integral revitalization of Old Havana. Consequently, the specialized tourist offer of the San Cristobal S.A. Agency combines the inexhaustible patrimonial wealth of the Cuban capital with that of other historic cities in the country, archeological sites, cultural landscapes, natural reserves and environments of high tourist significance.

Tour´s attractions

• A peripheral neighborhood of the Historic Center frequently recreated by renowned Cuban writers and artists recovers its charm and its historical-cultural significance, thanks to the dynamizing force of a community cultural project that ensures citizen participation and dialogue between the self-employed and cooperative sector and the public sector in merger of local development. The tour includes exchanges with leaders and protagonists of the Arte Corte Project, visits to the Callejón de los Barberos, the museum and the Barbershop School, the Comedor de los Abuelos, artists' studios, workshops and galleries that enhance the intense cultural life of the neighborhood, and bars and restaurants.
