GUAYABO WATERFALL & PINARES DE MAYARÍ: Discover one of eastern Cuba’s most treasured natural wonders with a journey into the Sierra de Nipe, home to the legendary Salto del Guayabo—the tallest waterfall in the country—located within the Pinares de Mayarí mountain region.

Pinares de Mayarí: This highland plateau, blanketed by vast pine forests, offers a refreshing climate, crystal-clear rivers, and breathtaking mountain scenery. The area is part of the Nipe–Sagua–Baracoa mountain range, one of Cuba’s richest ecological regions, featuring endemic flora, birdlife such as the Cuban tody and cartacuba, and dramatic landscapes shaped by millions of years of geological evolution.

Salto del Guayabo (Guayabo Waterfall): Hidden within this lush environment is Salto del Guayabo, a spectacular two-tier waterfall plunging more than 100 meters into a deep green canyon. A lookout point provides majestic views, while hiking trails allow visitors to descend closer to the cascade for photos and refreshing river baths in natural pools.

Itinerary: (tour sequence may vary)

• Pick up at hotels with specialized guide in the language of the clients,
• A drive by bus to Pinares de Mayarí, located within La Mensura National Park, a microclimatic reserve with more than 300 endemic species of Cuban flora, on the slopes of Nipe-Sagua-Baracoa mountain range.
• On the way, panoramic view of the amazing landscapes of Cuban countryside, including the sight of Nipe Bay, ranked among the largest of its type in the world, with some 200 square-km surface.
• Visit the Guayabo lookout, a natural viewpoint, to admire two waterfalls (of 85 and 170 meters respectively), falling from an elevation of 560 meters above sea level. From here, you can take a short trail to a natural pool, while enjoying the most amazing views, surrounded by the pine forest. Or dare to walk the almost-vertical 1200-meters long trail to the river of the waterfall.
• Traditional Cuban meal included, cooked in the charcoal kitchen of the local restaurant.
• Return to the pick-up point.
