"HANG LIKE HEMINGWAY" Bike Tour

Following the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway by e-bike, we discover the places where the life of the famous writer and Nobel Prize winner for literature took place in Cuba.

Itinerary

• Our guide will be waiting for us with the electric bikes at 09:00 am in the 21st Street #507A between D and E, Vedado. (Meeting could be organized for groups and individuals).
• The Hotel Ambos Mundos, where he lived for the longest time during his first stay in Havana, is, of course, a invaluable- Like La Finca Vigia, on the outskirts of the metropolis, which is faithfully restored with support as well, of an American association. From 1940 to 1950, Finca Vigía was the writer's winter residence.
• As a passionate fisherman and art lover, he also spent a lot of time in the small fishing village of Cojímar. Very soon he He won the respect of the local fishermen, where they began to call him, affectionately, "Papa".
• In the restaurant La Terraza de Cojímar, where Hemingway used to eat, we can enjoy a cocktail, looking at the sea.
• Then, in the Jardín de Bavária we are offered the opportunity to have a snack with German curry sausages, "almost original", and then return.
• The return journey will take us through the Pan American Village to the White House.
• From there we will cross the bay in a small and picturesque ferry and finish our day with a delicious mojito at the Bodeguita del Medio, where Hemingway loved to enjoy what he said was the "best Mojito" in town.
• Now, slowly, we start our way back, towards the Mariana Grajales Park, from where we started the day.

• Please, show up in the meeting point 15 minutes before the time to begin the tour.
• The program is subject to change. Visits to the museums depending on the opening hours. Modifications/changes possible, according to the opening hours of the museums. Lunch: Location and time may vary according to the availability.
• All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.
• The guest must have good urban cycling experience. There are no bicycle lanes in Cuba.
• Attenders should can to ride a bicycle comfortably up to 20 kilometers (12.4 miles).
• It is recommended to wear ligh clothing. Sneaker, closed shoes or tennis shoes, comfortable and appropriate for walking outdoors. Sun glasses, sun protection. Rain can be expected at any time.
• At the meeting point, we will provide a short introduction to the e-bikes, client’s bike adjustments to each individual height and some general information about the roads and rules of Cuban traffic
