"JOBO ROSADO MANAGED RESOURCE PROTECTED AREA" Hiking Tour
Jobo Rosado is located in the eastern part of the municipality of Yaguajay. This place witnessed the arrival on October 8, 1958 of the invading Column No. 2 Antonio Maceo, commanded by Camilo Cienfuegos. In the area we can find a great variety of bird species, as well as appreciate some mountainous elevations.
Itinerary:
- Arrival at the Jobo Rosado protected area of managed resources in Yaguajay.
- Reception in the Chalet "Los Alamos", where you can appreciate the way of life of the farmers, with their fruit trees and breeding of domestic animals and barnyard animals.
- Tour through the Paths of Jobo Rosado, starting at the trail of María Goya, place where Máximo Gómez and his troops descended when he took the old Narcisa power plant in Yaguajay, during the invasion to the west.
- In this tour you will visit impressive karst formations, product of the accumulation of calcium carbonate over thousands of years, these are the Valdez Cave and Las Solapas de Genaro in the Rancho Querete farm. This tour takes place in the Sierra de Meneses y Cueto with a maximum altitude of 250 meters above sea level and the distance is 5700 meters.
- Lunch at Los Alamos with a liquid and bar service.
