"One Day in Viñales" Bike Tour

One day Viñales intense. We explore with our e-bikes between no traffic, some horses with something behind, Bicitaxis, tobacco plantations and Mogotes the colorful town of Viñales and its breathtaking countryside. We get impressed by the flow of this vibrant town and its unique nature.

Itinerary

• Our guide awaits us with his e-bike at 10:00 am in the Central Park of Viñales, you will surely recognize him by the e-bike and a Cubyke sign. From there we go together to pick up the bikes (Optionally, an individual meeting place can be arranged with us for closed groups).
• We start our tour with a rally through the colorful Viñales and see as soon as we leave the main roads, as the place outside the center has preserved its naturalness. Cubans life, their relaxed mood and their extraordinary friendliness will fascinate us.
• Of course, there will be plenty options of stop-offs throughout the tour to fill up the liquid deficit and enjoy some Cuban snacks.
• We visit a tobacco farm and get a first-hand explanation and demonstration of the process of tobacco culture. Afterwards we will understand why the best cigars in the world come from this region.
• At lunchtime, obviously, we will enjoy the Cuban cuisine to the fullest and strengthen ourselves for the out-of-town routes. The actual lunch location always depends on our cruising speed, the condition of the participants and the usable roads, but all the restaurants we have to choose from have been tested by us. So you can be relaxed.
• Now it really goes into the Valle de Viñales, the Viñales Valley, which received in 1999 from UNESCO the award "cultural landscape of humanity". The valley is about 10 km long and 4 km wide. We cruise between the conical rocks from one highlight to the next.
• We visit the Cueva de José Miguel, where previously escaped slaves tried to find a home and where today at the weekend a cave disco tries its best.
• Then it's off in the direction of the Mural de la Prehistoria. Gigantic murals that were created in 1961 under the direction of a Mexican artist over a period of 5 years and represent the evolutionary history up to the genesis of humanity.
• At the end of a certainly extraordinary tour, we have the opportunity to revue the impressions of the day with a nice cocktail.

• Please report to the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts.
• The program is subject to change. Museum visits depend on opening hours. Lunch: The place and the time may vary according to availability.
• This tour can be taken from Havana on the same day for an additional cost. In this case the departure from Havana would be at 07:00 am and return around 22:00 hrs.
• All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.
• The guest must have a good experience in urban cycling. There are no bicycle lanes in Cuba.
• Guests must be able to ride a bicycle comfortably up to 20 kilometers.
• Light clothing is recommended. Sneakers, closed shoes or tennis shoes, comfortable and appropriate for walking in the air free. sunglasses, sun protection. Rain can be expected at any time.
• At the meeting point, we'll give a brief introduction to electric bikes, the settings of customers at each individual height and some general information about the roads and traffic regulations in Cuba.
