Cuba has a lot to offer for diving lovers: almost 6000 kilometers of coast, and a water temperature that, on average, is around twenty-six degrees, allow us to discover one of the best places in the world to live really unique experiences underwater. The island's marine platform is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs, where all kinds of colorful tropical fish, starfish, turtles, mammals, some of them truly exotic, abound. We have different regions where we can find diving clubs that have all the materials to rent, and experienced instructors who closely monitor each dive you make.

TYPE OF COURSES:

• INTRODUCTION TO DIVING: (duration 1 - 2 days). This course is the simplest of all, it does not include certification, only theoretical introduction with pool practice + a dive in the open sea up to 10 meters deep. It can be done directly in the sea if the sea conditions allow it. Minimum age 12 years old.
• SCUBA DIVER: (duration 1 - 2 days). The course consists of a first theoretical part with practices in swimming pool + two Open Water dives up to 12 meters deep. It can be done directly in the sea if the sea conditions allow it. The candidate receives at the end of the course the Digital Diver Certification. Minimum age 12 years old.
• OPEN WATER DIVER: (duration 3 - 4 days). The course consists initially of theoretical and practical classes in swimming pool or confined waters, four Open Water dives will be performed, not exceeding the maximum depth of 18 meters for this type of course. At the end of the course the candidate receives the Digital Diving Certification. Minimum age 12 years old.
• ADVANCED DIVER: (duration 3 - 4 days). The course consists initially with theory and then goes directly to the Open Water practices, where the following dives are performed, 1. Checking practical knowledge of OWD, 2. Buoyancy Control, 3. Orientation and Underwater Navigation, 4. At the end of the course the candidate receives the Digital Diver Certification. Minimum age 15 years old and maximum depth of 40 meters.
• RESCUE DIVER: (duration 2 - 3 days). The course consists initially of theory and then goes directly to the dry practices and then go to the water where all the exercises contemplated for this level will be executed, for this we will make two to four immersions. At the end of the course the candidate receives the Digital Diving Certification. Minimum age 16 years old and maximum depth of 40 meters.
• REFRESHMENT: (duration 1 day). It is intended for people with Diving Certification who have not been diving for a long time, or simply want to refresh their practical knowledge, it can be requested by the diver or recommended by the Instructor. It is done in a pool or confined water of no more than 10 meters.

INFORMATION:

• Before each course the candidate must fill out a medical form and a form of exoneration of responsibility and assumption of risks, in case of minors an older adult with responsibility will fill out these documents.
• The candidates to the different courses will receive the Digital Manual of the course prior to the beginning of the course.
• It is recommended that participants always bring natural water to drink, a snack and a towel.
• If the course takes place in Varadero, the pick up will be around 8:30 am at your accommodation and the return will be around 3:00 pm, in case of moving to the Bay of Pigs then the return will be around 6.00 pm.
• At the end of the course, from hours to days later the candidate will receive by e-mail his International Digital Diving Certification.

PROFESSIONAL DIVING INSTRUCTOR: Alfredo Contreras Guitian is one of the most experienced underwater cavers in the world. He is also a recreational diving instructor and scuba instructor trainer. 32 years as a diver and 26 of them as a diving instructor.

Details

• Minimum age for diving is 14, with parental or family authorization.
• Divers must be certified. The certification must be presented as well as the signed release form.
• The dives are guided by diving instructors.
• It is mandatory to show the corresponding international certification of the level that the client has.
• The extraction of any kind of species from the marine flora and fauna is prohibited.
• Each Diver will have to carry his Medical Certification and his BITÀCORA (DiveLog) for diving. It is optional for the CIB, to determine in the Visual Check to the Diver; if the client is really in technical conditions to make or not the requested immersions.
