"Pinar del Río - Viñales" Tour
**Viñales Valley is the place par excellence to spend a day contemplating and admiring the beauty of the Cuban landscape. It's a small rural locality of the province of Pinar del Río, land of tobacco and rum and whose fundamental attraction is the National Park Valley of Viñales. Of equal way in Viñales it can know the major system cavernario of Cuba. The Cueva del Indio is one of the most visited caves in the area, and this is because it is the most accessible and where the San Juan River crosses; which offers the visitor the possibility to travel 200 meters from the cave by boat, through the river. There is also the Santo Tomás cave, considered the largest in the Antilles with 45 kilometers in length.

Area values
The Viñales Valley is located in the province of Pinar del Río, the most western area of Cuba, in the Sierra de los Órganos, exactly in the mountainous group of the Guaniguanico Mountain Range. This valley and a large part of the surrounding mountains were approved in 1999 as a National Park and, in December of the same year, were declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, in the category of Cultural Landscape. It also has the status of National Monument, which received by resolution on March 27, 1979.
It is one of the best known and most attractive areas in Cuba, presenting an exceptional scenario, which, among others, is characterized by the fusion of its spectacular natural beauty, conservation of the environment, the harmonious action of man in the cultivation of small fruits, fodder and essentially the cultivation of tobacco, whose traditional methods of cultivation and production, achieve universal recognition of the cigar as one of the best quality in the world. The agricultural activities constitute the support of the economy of the territory, with the largest amount of land dedicated to the cultivation of tobacco; however, tourism is the most important emerging activity in the municipality, which has several hotel facilities, extra hotel facilities and a spontaneous network of rooms for visitors, in the very homes of the community's inhabitants.
