Jeep Safari "II FRENTE FOR ONE DAY"
In this excursion the client will discover the significant details of the palm tree landscape and its contrast with the mountainous environment, as well as the customs of rural life in the area. During the trip the visitor will be able to admire the natural beauty marked by mountains, rivers, different species of the fauna, agricultural crops with predominance of the coffee, plant of benefit of the grain and others. The client will have a close encounter with history when visiting the Mausoleum to the Heroes and Martyrs of the Second Eastern Front "Frank País". Using the foothills of the Mícara Mountain as a natural monument, the Mausoleum was conceived by architect Eduardo Losada from five fundamental areas that attempt a portrait of the entire footprint of the Front and its men.
Whoever arrives at its main entrance, which gives access to the tribune, the highest site of the monumental complex and observation point, will appreciate that here every detail counts. Then follows the Plaza of Ceremonies, the part that separates the tribune from the Mausoleum, scene of political, ideological and patriotic activities, with an area of 7,700 square meters.
The Mausoleum or central plaza is projected in a staggered manner at different levels. In this area there are 240 niches distributed in eight rows of 30 each. From the first row to the 11th niche rest the founding fighters of the 2nd Front who fell in combat. Their tombstones are different from the rest because they carry a rising sun among the mountains. Next, in hierarchical order, the remains of the combatants who obtained degrees are located, and then the rest of the fallen ones in alphabetical order. This area, where the burial site is located, is crossed by a central corridor of approximately 45 meters long, which leads to the eternal flame and is called the path of dignity.
