The intense jeep tour will make you enjoy a great adventure, seeing a rich variety of natural landscapes and native birds. On this trip you will visit the Yumuri River Canyon, the scenic value of the place enamors, the height of the canyon walls and its rock formations that have survived time and weather, its plants and trees that cover part of the canyon and the river banks. This place is one of the areas of Cuba with the greatest endemism in its species, most of which are native to the region. You can also visit Maisí, which has a rich array of customs and traditions that come from ancestors. The lighthouse of Punta de Maisí is located in Punta de la Hembra, in the construction of this lighthouse were used stones extracted from the shore of the coast.
Itinerary
- Departure from the city of Baracoa to Yumurí with English/French/German speaking guide service.
- Interpretative stops in interesting places for their beauty, ideal for taking pictures.
- Arrival at the Yumurí River Canyon for a boat ride with time for photos and swimming in the river.
- Transfer to Maisí. On the way you can see how the vegetation changes as you ascend or descend. You can see plantations of malanga, coffee, sweet potato, yam, among the main crops of the territory, eminently agricultural.
- Stop to appreciate the photovoltaic park of Punta de Maisí in times of renewable energy with the lighthouse in the background.
- Arrival at Villa Punta de Maisí with a panoramic tour of the place. In the surroundings, the smallest vegetation of Cuba with various species of melocactus.
- Optional visit to the Punta de Maisí Lighthouse, a maritime reference for sailors and fishermen since its construction in 1862, from which the staggered formation of the marine terraces and the coastline can be appreciated.

- This tour operates with a minimum number of passengers. Holiplus will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the supplier decides to cancel, for not reaching the minimum number of passengers required, due to force majeure or bad weather conditions, Holiplus will offer you an alternative tour or refund, in full, the cost of your tour.
- Clients on excursions are accompanied and assisted throughout the tour by specialized driver-guides, who cover several languages.
- Pick-ups may be delayed up to 15 minutes depending on the number of hotels and the punctuality of the clients. The client must inform the sales office to avoid any inconvenience.
- The jeep is shared with other tourists (up to 4 pax/jeep).
- Those who wish to drive must bring their driving license.
- Jeeps have standard transmission.
Cancellation and no show policy:
- Cancellations more than 72 hours before the excursion: No penalty applies.
- Cancellations between 72 hours and 48 hours before the excursion: a penalty of 50% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- Cancellations less than 48 hours before the excursion: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- NO-SHOW: a penalty of 100% of the total value of the excursion applies.
- Reservation fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
