Camagüey is a city of legends. Lovely from start to finish, by its alleys full of traditions and culture and a perfectly preserved historical and colonial center, which has given it the recognition by UNESCO, to declare it a World Heritage Site. In the tour "Colonial Camagüey" will have the opportunity to meet a large part of its colonial historic center. To do this, the departure will take place from the Agramonte Park, located in the heart of the city, and seat of numerous political and cultural events. You will know the Cathedral, the Casa de la Trova, and continuing along Street Luaces, will reach the former convent and the Colegio de las Reparadoras, the old school of the Salesian and the Archbishop of Camaguey. Then you will find Marti square or San Francisco where you will have the opportunity to know the neo-Gothic church of the Sacred Heart, which replaced the old San Francisco. This whole area preserves the most genuine colonial values, represented in the seventeenth century colonial house -Avellaneda and General Gomez, the oldest preserved colonial house in Camagüey –Pobre and San Fernando Streets, and the narrow alley of Camagüey –Funda del Catre. Along the street Pobre you will continue deep into the "labyrinth" of the old Spanish village to search the Plaza de San Juan de Dios. There you can visit the best preserved colonial city church and the square full of life and culture, and spaces for the sale of handicrafts and souvenirs. The tour concludes with a visit to the birthplace of Dr. Carlos J. Finlay, Cuban scientist discovered the transmitting agent of Fiebre Amarilla; with a spectacular colonial courtyard adorned with typical jars, symbols of the city.
