Overview

"CRUCERO DEL SOL" Tour

The Crucero del Sol stands out as one of the signature ocean excursions available from Varadero, the renowned resort town stretching along the Hicacos Peninsula in Matanzas Province. Designed as a full-day Caribbean experience, this catamaran adventure seamlessly combines sailing, marine discovery, wildlife encounters, and moments of pure relaxation in an idyllic tropical setting. The journey typically begins with hotel transfers to Marina Gaviota, where guests board a spacious catamaran bound for the turquoise waters off Cuba’s northern shoreline. As the boat glides across the sea, travelers are immersed in panoramic coastal views, warm ocean breezes, and the unmistakable rhythm of the Caribbean. The voyage itself becomes part of the attraction — a tranquil sail framed by endless blue horizons.

A defining feature of the excursion is the chance to interact with dolphins in a supervised marine environment. Under professional guidance, participants spend approximately fifteen minutes in the water engaging with these remarkable creatures, creating an uplifting and memorable highlight suitable for all ages. The itinerary also includes a snorkeling stop at a vibrant coral reef. Equipped with mask and fins, guests can explore a lively underwater ecosystem filled with tropical fish and intricate reef formations, all visible through exceptionally clear, warm waters. The final destination is Cayo Blanco, a picturesque, uninhabited cay known for its powdery white sand and calm, shallow waters. Here, visitors enjoy leisure time to swim, sunbathe, or simply unwind beneath gently swaying palm trees. A seaside lunch featuring local specialties — often highlighting fresh seafood — is served buffet-style, complemented by an open bar available both on the island and onboard the catamaran.

From start to finish, the Crucero del Sol delivers a balanced blend of adventure and serenity. It captures the essence of Varadero’s coastal charm, offering travelers an enriching day at sea where natural beauty, marine life, and Cuban hospitality converge in a truly unforgettable experience.
