"La Paz" City Tour
La Paz, officially Our Lady of La Paz, is the seat of the government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the capital of the department of La Paz, the third most populated city in Bolivia. It also stands out as an important cultural center in Latin America due to its colonial legacy and its indigenous presence; it houses several important monuments and sites, such as the Basilica of San Francisco, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Plaza Murillo and Jaen Street, some of which we will have the opportunity to visit during our tour. The city is also known for its unique markets, particularly the Witches Market and for its vibrant nightlife.
Itinerary
We start the tour by picking up clients at their hotels to go to the Moon Valley located south of the city and named after its moon-like landscape. During the journey we observe the residential area, until we reach our destination where we take a 30 minute walk. Then we head to the Miraflores area where we visit the archaeological site and the Hernando Siles Olympic Stadium. To continue the tour, we go to the viewpoint of Killi Killi, well known as one of the best viewpoints in the city from where we observe the majestic snow-capped Illimani, whose silhouette has been the most important emblem of the city since its foundation and the spectacular landscape of the city. Then we go to the Old Town of the city appreciating the "Pedro Domingo Murillo" Square where you can find the Government Palace, the Legislative Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral, among other places of interest. Later we visit the most important museums that are in the Jaén Street and finally we go to the market of the Witches and the artisan market where the City tour finishes.
