Discover the clearest skies on earth through an astronomical tour that allows participants without any prior knowledge of the sky to understand it and how to look at it. San Pedro de Atacama is a place to observe the sky and its stars. It offers its visitors the chance to enjoy and observe stunning objects, such as Moon craters, the rings of Saturn, star clouds, galaxies and other wonders of the universe.
Itinerary
- Departure from San Pedro de Atacama, towards the astronomical center.
- We will enjoy the sky that can be seen with the naked eye, that way you will understand what will be seen later. What is a constellation, how to learn from them, how to understand a map of the sky and recognize the main stars, are some of the aspects to be discussed during the visit.
- The team of guides is supported by a green laser pointer, which helps to indicate precisely which star is being referred to in the first stage of the tour.
- When the moon is visible, there is the possibility of taking pictures through the telescopes, both with digital cameras and reflex (adapters are available for Nikon, Canon, Minolta and Pentax).
- At the end of the tour, time to share experiences together with a hot drink.
- Return to the Hotel.
