Overview
The Valley of the Moon, declared a Natural sanctuary and monument, is formed by a depression surrounded by small hills with stunning sharp ridges. Famous for its natural mineral sculptures, known as “Las Tres Marías” (The three Mary’s) formed by the wind erosion, resembling a lunar setting.
Death Valley, visited to practice sandboarding, has great geographical beauty, where its salt formations appear to be sculptures or natural works of art.
Itinerary:
- Departure from the hotel in San Pedro of Atacama and head to the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain Range).
- Visit the Valley of the Moon.
- Visit Death Valley.
- Sandboarding is the perfect way to feel like a kid again while enjoying this amazing experience.
- End your trip with a magical sunset at the "Piedra del Coyote" viewpoint, one of the highest points of the “Cordillera de la Sal” (Salt Mountain Range).
- Return to the hotel.
