Alejandro de Humboldt National Park, a World Heritage Site, is a protected area in Cuba, located in the provinces of Holguin and Guantanamo. It has an area of 79,680 hectares and is one of the most important sites for the conservation of endemic flora in the entire western hemisphere.

Values:

The territory has exceptional examples of the development of karst forms and systems ("pseudokarst") on non-carbonate lithologies; one of the best and most complete examples of the insular tropical rainforests of the Neotropics is evident. There are important populations (sometimes unique) of threatened species of flora and fauna, and three of the smallest vertebrate species in the world live here. The Park concentrates 2% of the species of flora on earth. It has a flora of 905 endemics, almost 30% of those reported for Cuba. Of this total, 343 are exclusive to the region. This territory has the greatest vegetal diversity of the Cuban Archipelago and the Insular Caribbean.

Program:

• Departure from our office to the Alejandro de Humboldt National Park, a protected area with the greatest biodiversity in Cuba and the Insular Caribbean, declared a World Heritage Site.
• Entrance to the park and visit to the Balcony of Iberia trail (7 km) where a specialized guide will help you get in touch with a virgin nature.
• Visit to a waterfall and swimming in its crystalline waters.
• On the way back, visit to the Maguana beach with its coral reef barrier, which has the most beautiful white sands in the area.
• Return to the hotels.
