The dry climate and the more than 300 days of sunshine in the Elqui Valley provide the conditions for astronomical observation in clean skies. The mountains allow the installation of telescopes at great heights, far from light pollution and in the midst of the beauty of the place.
Itinerary
- Departure from La Serena, towards Vicuña to reach the Cerro Mamalluca Observatory.
- Welcome with an astronomical talk with videos.
- Then we will move on to the observation of stars, planets and nebulae with instruments such as the 12' Telescope with 40 cm primary mirror. Meade Ix-200, super Prölss eyepieces and others.
- At the end, return to the hotel.
This tour operates in private and collective mode, in the case of the latter it is only done in Spanish
