Overview

"BALTINACHE LAGOONS WITH APPETIZER" Tour

BALTINACHE LAGOONS – SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA. Discover one of the most extraordinary natural wonders of the Atacama Desert on this unforgettable excursion to the Baltinache Lagoons, also known as the “Hidden Lagoons.” Located approximately 60 kilometers south of San Pedro de Atacama, this remote and pristine landscape offers a unique combination of surreal beauty, silence, and extreme desert scenery. The Baltinache Lagoons are a series of seven crystal-clear saltwater pools surrounded by vast salt flats and dramatic desert formations. Their intense turquoise and deep blue tones contrast sharply with the white salt crust and the surrounding arid terrain, creating a visually stunning environment unlike anywhere else on Earth. Due to the high concentration of salt, visitors can experience effortless floating in designated lagoons, similar to the sensation of the Dead Sea.

Throughout the visit, guests will enjoy time to explore the area, take photographs, and immerse themselves in the absolute stillness of the desert. The landscape feels untouched and otherworldly, making it a favorite destination for nature lovers, photographers, and travelers seeking a deeper connection with the raw beauty of the Atacama. The tour is accompanied by expert local guides who provide insight into the geological formation of the lagoons, the importance of preserving this fragile ecosystem, and the natural processes that shape one of the driest places on the planet. A relaxing moment with an appetizer is often included, allowing guests to enjoy the surroundings while reflecting on the experience.

The Baltinache Lagoons excursion is an ideal complement to any visit to San Pedro de Atacama, offering a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and natural wonder in one of Chile’s most iconic desert landscapes.
