Overview

In this excursion, it is possible to visit Los Géysers del Tatio, geothermal center of the Atacama Desert, which offers a unique natural spectacle to the visitor. In addition, visit to Termas de Puritama, from which emanate various minerals with healing qualities for rheumatism, as well as for therapeutic bathing.

Géysers del Tatio, located in the Andes Mountains, 89 km. from San Pedro, where the spectacle of the fumaroles is best appreciated at dawn. Some fumaroles easily reach 10 meters high, and the geysers can reach up to 8 meters. In addition, we will enjoy breakfast and a bath in the thermal pool, with an average temperature of 36° C.

The Puritama Hot Springs flow among the rocks, forming pools that have been conditioned to be enjoyed by visitors. The place has bathrooms and dressing rooms connected to the pools by means of wooden walkways.

Itinerary

  • Departure from San Pedro de Atacama at dawn, to Los Géysers del Tatio.
  • Breakfast and bath in the thermal pool.
  • On the way back, we will visit the Puritama Hot Springs.
  • Return to the Hotel.
