The National Reserves undoubtedly stand out for the natural beauty they protect and the flora and fauna that are often in danger of extinction. The Salar de Atacama is part of one of these, concentrating an important number of colonies of flamingos, which make this excursion one of the favorites of visitors.
Salar de Atacama, is the largest salt flat in Chile and one of the most surprising landscapes in the country, its surface is white and rough and hides a large salt lake from view. This place has the Los Flamencos National Reserve, one of the most important in the country.
The town of Toconao is located at 2,475 meters above sea level, where you can find the Church of San Lucas with its small bell tower, made of adobe and straw.
