Overview
Jerez Canyon, a place where you can see the flora and fauna of this beautiful valley.
Toconao town located at 2,475 meters high, where is the Church of San Lucas with its small bell tower, made of adobe and straw.
Salar de Atacama, is the largest salt flat in Chile and one of the most surprising landscapes in the country, its surface is white and rough and hides a large salt lake from view, this place is part of the National Reserve Los Flamencos, one of the most important in the country.
Itinerary
- Departure from San Pedro de Atacama, towards the Jerez Canyon.
- We continue towards Taconao where we stop at the Church of San Lucas, made of mud and straw with its typical tower bell.
- Visit to the workshop and handicraft fair of the area, rich in alpaca wool articles and cactus handicrafts.
- We will visit the Salar de Atacama and the National Reserve Los Flamencos.
- Through a small path to the Chaxa lagoon, we will be able to appreciate the different species of flamingos in the area.
- Finally, looking towards the Andes we will enjoy a colorful sunset that will give us the end of our excursion.
- Return to the Hotel.
