You will get an exclusive about the beginnings of the Coffee in Cuba, the first plantations, the first settlements, as well as the French influence in the culture of the east of the country. You will see the Franco-Haitian influence in the formation of our rich culture, architecture and modern gardening. You can also enjoy a landscape with a peculiar beauty where the existing microclimate, the high degree of endemism, the varieties of ferns, orchids, mosses, the fauna that surrounds it and the visual 360 degrees make it a unique attraction in its type.
Program:
DAY I:
- Departure from the city by jeep towards the mountainous region of the Third Front, passing through the towns of La Clarita, Dos Palmas, Guadalupe, Pilón, Candelaria, Las Minas, and Cruce, until arriving at the Martyrs of the Third Front Museum.
- Visit to the Mausoleum of the Martyrs of the Third Front.
- Panoramic visit to the File Fruit Pulping Plant.
- Arrival at the Hotel Villa El Saltón. Check-in, fruit juice tasting, and lunch.
- Hike the La Corina trail and enjoy a swim in the La Corina pool.
- Traditional Cuban dinner and enjoyment of a "Guateque Campesino," a typical Cuban show.
DAY II:
- Breakfast at the Casa del Campesino (Farmer's House).
- Participate in the farmer's daily activities, such as feeding poultry, milking cows, and tending to crops like root vegetables and other vegetables.
- Begin a hike where you can appreciate the coffee plantations, learning about and participating in agricultural tasks depending on the stage of the production process, such as weeding, manual pruning, fertilizing, and harvesting.
- Enjoy a traditional Cuban lunch at a ranch located on the banks of the Filé River.
- Return to the city via the Rio Seco road, which connects the southern coast of eastern Cuba.
