THE CHILEAN MOUNTAIN RANGE: Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and Parque Farellones. The Chilean Mountain Range, part of the majestic Andes Mountains, offers one of the most spectacular high-altitude landscapes in South America. Just a short drive from Santiago, the mountain resorts of Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and Parque Farellones provide an unforgettable experience that combines dramatic scenery, outdoor adventure, and breathtaking panoramic views. This region is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking nature, fresh mountain air, and unique experiences in the heart of the Andes.

VALLE NEVADO is the largest and most modern ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere. Renowned for its world-class infrastructure, wide ski slopes, and stunning vistas, it attracts winter sports enthusiasts from around the globe. During the winter season, Valle Nevado is a paradise for skiing and snowboarding, while in summer it becomes an ideal spot to enjoy panoramic viewpoints, photography, and the impressive scale of the Andean landscape. Its high elevation ensures exceptional views of snow-capped peaks stretching endlessly across the horizon.

EL COLORADO is one of Chile’s most popular and accessible mountain centers, especially appreciated by families and intermediate-level skiers. With a friendly atmosphere and diverse slopes, it offers an excellent balance between adventure and comfort. Beyond winter sports, El Colorado provides visitors with unforgettable mountain scenery, clear skies, and opportunities to connect with the natural environment of the Andes, making it a favorite destination for both locals and international visitors.

PARQUE FARELLONES adds a playful and family-oriented dimension to the mountain experience. Designed for visitors of all ages, the park features snow activities such as tubing, sledding, and ziplining during the winter months, along with recreational areas ideal for enjoying the snow without skiing. In warmer seasons, Farellones offers scenic walks, mountain viewpoints, and outdoor activities that highlight the beauty and serenity of the Andes. Its charming alpine-style village atmosphere makes it a perfect stop for those looking to experience mountain life up close.

Together, Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and Parque Farellones form an exceptional mountain circuit that showcases the diversity and grandeur of the Chilean Andes. Whether visiting in winter for snow sports or in summer for panoramic views and fresh mountain air, this region promises a memorable experience filled with natural beauty, adventure, and unforgettable landscapes just moments away from Santiago de Chile.
