VALPARAÍSO, is a port city on the coast of Chile. It is known for its steep funiculars and the colorful houses on the hills. La Sebastiana, the flamboyant former residence of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, is now a museum with sweeping views of the Pacific. During the 19th century, an influx of European immigrants left their mark on the city's architecture and cultural institutions, many of which congregate around Plaza Sotomayor in the center of the city.
Itinerary
Departure from our hotel to the starting point of our tour: Muelle Prat.
Advancing through the Sotomayor Square we will see the Monument to the Heroes of Iquique, and important historical buildings that surround the Square, and then go up the El Peral elevator, one of the fifteen that still works in the city and that leads to the Paseo Yugoslavo already the Typical Zone of Cerro Alegre.
After visiting the winding streets of Cerro Alegre, we will visit Cerro Concepción, known for its rich architecture and the Gervasoni and Atkinson Walks.
Finally, we will return to the plane of Valparaíso, to take a trolley, reach the Plaza Aduana and then take the Artillería elevator, to arrive at Paseo 21 de Mayo, where the vehicle will wait for us to return to our hotel.
