Itinerary

Tahai means “where the sun hides.” At this place, you can witness the greatest natural spectacle on the entire island. As the sun sets, it descends directly behind the moai of Ahu Vai Uri, illuminating these stone giants and creating a breathtaking display of light and color.

  • We will experience the sunset at Tahai, one of the most captivating ceremonial complexes on Easter Island, where significant archaeological heritage blends seamlessly with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. This unique location offers an exceptional setting to appreciate both history and nature at the same time.
  • Ahu Tahai stands on land once inhabited by the Marama people and forms part of an archaeological complex made up of three ceremonial platforms aligned along the coastline, creating a striking visual composition as the sun sets on the horizon.
  • Surrounding the site, we will observe the remains of an ancient settlement, including traditional dwellings, stone enclosures once used as chicken coops, and other structures that reflect the daily life of the island’s ancestors.
  • As the light gradually fades, we will enjoy a light snack while the majestic moai statues are silhouetted against the glowing sky, offering a truly memorable scene.
  • At the end of this enchanting experience, we will return to our hotel on Easter Island.

DOCUMENTATION:

  • It is the responsibility of each passenger to carry the relevant documents for the proper completion of their trip.
  • Passengers must be informed and prepared to comply with visa, vaccination, and other regulations specific to the countries they are visiting.
  • Therefore, passengers must bear the costs incurred due to non-compliance or misinformation regarding entry and mobility regulations within the different countries they are traveling to. In the case of Chilean and foreign passengers, they must present their foreign documentation, otherwise, VAT corresponding to 19% of the fare will be charged directly to the passenger.

  • Up to 33 days before the start of the tour: 0% penalty of the total amount of the originally booked tour + USD 15 processing fee
  • 32-15 days before the start of the tour: 30% penalty of the total amount of the originally booked tour.
  • 14–10 days before the start of the tour: 50% penalty of the total amount of the originally booked tour.
  • 9–0 days before the start of the tour: 100% penalty of the total amount of the originally booked tour.
  • No Show: 100% penalty of the total amount of the originally booked tour.
