The SERRANO GLACIER and the BALMACEDA GLACIER are located in the Magallanes Region within the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. Both are part of Campos de Hielo Sur inserted in the middle of nature of forests of coigües, ñirres and ciruelillos until very close to the walls of the glacier itself.
The Balmaceda Glacier is located on the west slope of Monte Balmaceda and is a hanging glacier of more than 2030 meters. The most impressive thing is when ice floes slide and fall into the water, being a true spectacle. Unfortunately, the Balmaceda glacier is in retreat, but it is one of the must-see attractions, along with the Serrano glacier, of the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park.
