“DIVING AT LOS MOTUS” TOUR.

ORONGO, which means in Rapanui, is a ceremonial village built on the occasion of the Make-Make cult and the tangata-manu competition. Its use was seasonal, as it was used only a few weeks a year, in the early spring. It is a town with buildings in the shape of boats built in flagstone or keho, which, being semi-sunken, resemble caves. Orongo is also the main rock art site of Rapa Nui, with hundreds of various petroglyphs that show the importance of this village in ancient times. The village was built towards the end of the 16th century, although the cult of the tangata-manu seems to have gained relevance in later centuries.

LOS MOTUS, Motu Nui is the largest of the three islets at the extreme southwest of Easter Island, it is the westernmost place in Chile. All three islets have seabirds, but Motu Nui is an essential place for the Tangata Manu that was the cult of the island's religion between the times of the moai and the Christians.

Itinerary

• Departure from our hotel on Easter Island heading south, towards the ceremonial center of Orongo.

• Arrival at the three small portions of land that, together with the larger island, make up the archipelago called Los Motus.

• Among these islets we will carry out our diving activity, which will be an overwhelming and fascinating experience.

• Return to our hotel in Easter Island.
