PUERTO MONTT, is a commune, city and port in southern Chile, capital of the province of Llanquihue and of the Los Lagos Region, it has an urban and rural population of 245,902 inhabitants, this city concentrates most of the fishing activity and business in the area, and for this reason it is the regional capital of Los Lagos.
ANGELMÓ, is a small Chilean bay located in Puerto Montt, in front of Tenglo Island, in the Los Lagos Region. It was born as a port in the late 19th century. The etymology of its name is disputed and is usually attributed to the deformation of the name "Ángel Montt", a doctor who would have lived nearby, but as there are no records of its existence, it seems that it is a popular etymology created later. If the origin of the term was Mapuche, a possible ethic is ankulenmo (place of shellfish).
