A visit to the Dominican Republic is not complete without discovering the historic city of Santo Domingo, the first city established in the New World and today the vibrant capital of the country. Rich in history, culture, and colonial charm, Santo Domingo offers visitors a fascinating journey through the origins of the Americas. During this unforgettable excursion, guests will explore some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Alcázar de Colón, the former residence of Diego Colón, son of Christopher Columbus, and the headquarters of the Spanish conquerors for more than 60 years. Visitors will also discover the magnificent Catedral Primada de América, recognized as the first cathedral built in the Americas, as well as the historic Museum of the Royal Houses, which preserves valuable pieces of colonial history.

The experience also includes a panoramic visit to the impressive Columbus Lighthouse, a monumental tribute commemorating the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America.
