Guided motorcycle tour of western Cuba. Scenic stages lead through low mountain ranges, natural parks, and tobacco growing areas. It will arrive from Havana, to the westernmost province, Pinar del Río, Viñales, in the extreme southwest of the island to Isabel Rubio and cross the main tobacco growing areas of Cuba.

  • Visit the 4 squares that make up the historic center of The Village of San Cristóbal of Havana, the largest jewel of the Caribbean Sea.
  • LAS TERRAZAS NATURE RESERVE, is a picturesque rural tourism community of sustainable development, located on the banks of the San Juan River, within the Sierra del Rosario, perfect for various excursions, relax and observe nature. It was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
  • Declared a Cultural Landscape Protected by UNESCO and National Natural Monument, VIÑALES, noted for the beauty of its mogotes and impressive landscapes.
  • SAN DIEGO DE LOS BAÑOS, the miracle of it`s minero medicinal waters, its analgesic, relaxing, anti-inflammatory and healing qualities will fill you with life.
  • LA GÜIRA National Park is a protected area located in the Organ Saw, in the western province of Pinar del Río. Among its peculiarities is the presence of Asian and European culture. It has a medieval style front, gardens, walks, parks and orchards designed with a mixture of styles.
  • GREAT CAVE OF SANTO TOMÁS, it is the largest and most important cave system found in Cuba. Declared a National Monument in 1989.

Exploring Cuba by Enduro Motorcycle.

  • We will make this Cuba motorbike trip without minimum of passengers , daily depart.
  • We reserve the right to carry out the trips with a higher number of participants.
  • Shared room: We'll try to find another participant with the same preference and gender. Meanwhile we'll charge you for a single room. In case we find a room partner we'll reduce the amount.
  • We usually book the hotels mentioned in our travel information.However last minute modifications might occurs at short notice or without previous notice due to the lack of capacity. This could occasionally lead to changes in the itinerary.
  • Duration: 2 days.
  • Length of stage (km): 300 kms.
  • Total length (km): 600 kms.
  • Driving time per day: 4,5 hours.

This moto tour is not only something special for active travellers, but also for those who would like to discover eco-friendly Cuba in a different way: by an awesome bike. Your guide will lead you through Cuba’s central regions, while the daily routes vary from 260 to 340 kms. This trip will add excitement and emotion to your adventure vacations in Cuba.

  • If the accommodations mentioned in the itinerary are already fully booked, we will find an alternative at the same standard.

  • 10 maximum motorcycles in the tour.

  • Types of Motorcycles:

No Moto|Marca -----|----- 1|BMW Enduro motorcycles, type F 700 GS (55 kW).

  • It is not allowed to transport people who are not part of the group on the motorcycles or accompanying buses.

  • The bikes will be delivered to the customers from the beginning.

  • The internal regulations will be read by the guide, which must be signed by each client. By giving you a copy of it.

  • During the connecting routes, at lunch or meals alcohol is not allowed.

  • The use of helmet is obligatory. You can use an open helmet or a closed helmet.

  • We recommend the use of light but strong clothing. They must have a raincoat for any eventuality.

  • The organization that accompanies the trip will be available for any information.

  • All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.

  • Deposit in Guarantee of € 300 at the moment when the client receives his motorcycle which is returned at the end of the route, when it is verified that the motorcycle does not present any damage.

Before starting the tour the organization must have in its possession the following documents: a) Declaration of responsibility signed by the driver * b) Photocopy of driving license; c) Photocopy of the passport.

Accompanying customers

  • The companions will enjoy all the activities included in the program as described. They will be able to travel according to their opinion in the accompanying Micro Bus, or in the motorcycle of the accompanying biker, but they will not have right to handle the motorcycle that includes the circuit

  • Technical Assistance: The circuit will have technical assistance during the whole tour as well as personnel trained to attend any eventuality that occurs during the course.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • We recommend your clients to take a fully comprehensive insurance for the activities included in the itinerary.
  • Bring comfortable and appropriate shoes and clothes to walk in the outdoors, swimming trunks to refresh in the streams and/or beaches, Repellent. There may be some mosquitoes in the parks we will visit.
  • Beware with sun burning. Bring your own protector lotions.
  • We might need in the outdoors small rucksack for the personal belongings.
  • In Cuba we have a widely spread medical assistance, with clinics in the most remote areas in the country. Anyway, if you are suffering a chronic disease or allergy, etc., it will not be worthless if you bring your personal first aids kit or medicines, especially when you are far from the main cities.
Itinerary

  1. DIA 1HAVANA - LAS TERRAZAS - VIÑALES

    VIÑALES, LAS TERRAZAS COMUNITY, and LOS PALACIOS Motorcycle

    From Havana to Viñales

    We meet in the morning in the Western district Miramar to take over the motorcycles and then head westwards. Using smaller streets that are light in traffic we will arrive in Las Terrazas, an ecological rural community and recreational site, where we enjoy a bath in the river San Juan. We can also have lunch here (optional).

    We continue on through the Sierra del Rosario towards the Valley of Viñales, crossing one of the few areas in Cuba that still have natural vegetation. Road conditions get worse here, but riding an Enduro this is where the fun is. After a short stop in San Diego de los Baños we enter the national park La Güira and reach the Cueva de los Portales, a large cave that functioned as commando post for Ché Guevara during the Cold War Crisis and that now houses a small museum.

    From there it takes us another hour over bad roads, but through beautiful landscapes before we finally reach the Valley of Viñales. We stop at the lookout point Los Jazmines before entering the village and checking in to our casa particular.

  2. DIA 2VIÑALES - SAN JUAN Y MARTINEZ - HAVANA

    HAVANA and SAN JUAN Y MARTÍNEZ Motorcycle

    Through tobacco fields

    After breakfast we leave Viñales, heading westwards. We make a stop at the Cemetary of the Militiaman in La Moncada. Continuing our motorbike trip, we pass the Gran Caverna de Santo Tomás, which is one of the biggest cave systems in Cuba and Latin America. After passing through the small town Sumidero one of the most beautiful stages in Cuba awaits us.

    The street from Sumidero to Isabel Rubio meanders alongside a picturesque valley with basically no traffic. From Isabel Rubio we hit the Carretera Central, passing through wide fields of tobacco until we reach San Juan y Martínez, where we can enjoy lunch (optional). After lunch we continue heading eastwards until we arrive back in Miramar and return the motorbikes. A transfer will bring us to our accommodation in Central Havana.
