The building that today occupies the Hotel San Miguel, with the luxury of a palace and the eclectic style of the early twentieth century, located in the historic center of Havana City, was acquired by Mr. Antonio San Miguel y Segalá, natural of Spain and Cuban citizen, who makes some modifications that are still preserved. Its facade is of stone of stone keeping harmony with the rest of the building, distinguishes the use of the blacksmithing, the plaster in its ceilings and the marble veneers in baseboards, floors and handrails of the stairs. In the year 2000 the works of adaptation for the use of public accommodation of great comfort are finished without substantially altering a discreet but invaluable ora of our architecture.
