Overview

The Hotel Cubanacan Los Caneyes blends among its attractions three ingredients: nature, history and the proximity with Santa Clara city. Only two km away from the major city of Cuba´s central region, it is known for its caneyes-shaped cabins, an imitation of the ancient houses used by the native inhabitants of the Isle.

This installation is ideal like access point to many touristic places like the memorial where the remains of Ernesto che Guevara are kept, the Guamuhaya mountain chain, the impressive keys to the north or the beautiful Remedios city, considered the eighth villa founded by the Spanish in Cuba.

Built in 1966 and recently improved, Los Caneyes is perfect for some repairing vacations among coconut palms. It has 96 rooms; two of them are suites and one specially conceived for people with disabilities. The building offers a refreshing clime due to level of air conditioning in the closed spaces.

Different options are available like a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and the beauty salon with services like massages, aqua puncture, mud therapy and facial treatments employing natural products and fresh fruits. The cultural hall Guajuma is a gallery for many local artists.

The restaurant Los Taínos has a very good acceptance, with a wide selection of the Cuban and international cuisine. There are also recommended the magnificent cocktails at the Bar-Café Latino and the Snack Bar Cuba. The nightclub Los Caneyes is the preferred one in the area among the locals and is notorious like one of the bests in the region.
