Casa Hacienda Guachinango

The house occupies an area of 392 m2 of construction, with a planimetric scheme of interior distribution very typical in these houses: access centered on the longest side of the rectangle formed by the two bays plus the portal, a large living room with rooms on both sides and the dining room that communicates with the room through a large mixtilinear arch, on both sides of the dining room and communicated with the apartments (rooms) were the bedrooms. At the ends of this rectangle were the offices or offices with independent accesses.

The Casa Hacienda Guachinango is located in the central west region of the Valle de los Ingenios, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The earliest documentary references to the site date back to 1806, which shows its antiquity, it has wall decorations made by anonymous popular artists who recreate biblical, mythological, and animal scenes, a very rare occurrence in the history of Cuban wall decorations.

The hacienda has 3 spacious, air-conditioned rooms with hot and cold water, a minibar and other services.

It is an ideal place for horseback riding or walks that can have various destinations: bathing in the river. bird watching and others. You can enjoy life in the country with its traditions and culture, grinding coffee beans into a pylon, saddling a horse in direct connection with local farmers, milking cow, feeding and caring for animals.

Until the entrance of the hacienda, in addition to the access by road, the railway arrives with one of the most beautiful excursions in Trinidad, on a train with traditional wagons and its steam locomotive that allows you, after an attractive and very Cuban walk through the Valle de los Ingenios, reach the hacienda.
