La Casona is quite near the city centre, ten minutes on foot. But, if you wish, you can hire different means of transports for your trips, among them the bici-taxis, “almendrones” (cars of the 40’s and 50’s ) and calashes (horse-drawn carriages). By previous coordination, horseback rides through the whole area up to the Valle de los Ingenios (Valley of Sugar Mills) can be organized, including a luncheon in the family farm La Victoria located in the actual valley.
From La Casona, visitors can enjoy a wonderful sight: different kinds of birds, marvelous vegetation, thoroughbred horses, all surrounded by valleys and mountains for a total approximate area of 2 hectares.
