Hostal Florida Center – Santa Clara Rentals: A beautiful residence built in the year 1876 is located only 200 meters of the Central Park of the city (Parque Vidal). This is a classic representation of colonial Spanish architecture of the epoch. The house maintains its original spirit and structure, although has had some modifications than bring it near to eclectic style, has spacious living rooms exquisitely decorated with crystal baccarat lamps, Art deco, streetlamps at outside corridors and courtyard, perillas´s furniture (inhaled in baroque style, present in some Cubans houses with abundant carved and lathed elements) and floors reinserted since 1912 that were imported from Turkey. Has a courtyard with a cistern, gardens, orchids, and tropical birds. The bedrooms are located around the courtyard in order to have a good use of the solar light and the ventilation. We rent two bedrooms, the first one is decorated to colonial style and the other to Art deco style; the bedrooms have air conditioning, fan, private bathrooms, TV, refrigerator and paymasters with wines for more demanding tastes. Copious breakfasts and excellent foods are served at a luxurious courtyard, surrounded of ornamental plants with a lot of professionalism. This house was a private restaurant very renamed at our city. The property provides a 24-hour front desk. At the guest house, the rooms are fitted with a patio. Every room includes a private bathroom with a shower. Guest rooms at Hostal Florida Center feature air conditioning and a wardrobe. We offer services of dry cleaner's, tourist free information, recommendations, advice of outings, places to discover and visiting in town, parking available, etc. The owner speaks English and French. Hostal Florida Center is written up in pretty much every guide book covering Santa Clara, Cuba as the best property in town. The property is an 1870s building that was restored in the 2000s. Combined with its sister property across the street – Hostal Florida Terrace – it offers ~20 rooms with two double beds. In the traditional Cuban style the rooms could open up to the outside air with French doors covered by security bars to protect your belongings inside. Close up the doors and the air conditioning was solid, as was water pressure, the mini-fridge (stocked but enough space to stow some of your own goodies as well) and wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Oh, and perhaps the best restaurant in town for breakfast and dinner, too. The public areas are a mix of dappled sunlight on tile floors and a rag-tag collection of stuff most generously described as “junkyard chic.” It transported us back in time, like walking through the long forgotten back room of an antiques store, with piles of things likely broken but that no one could bear to clear out. Quaint and quirky. The terrace building also sports a bar on the third floor, incredible views of the city and, somewhat amazingly, a wifi connection tied in to the feed from Parque Vidal, the main town square just a couple blocks away.

The location of Hostal Florida Center is very convenient for visiting Santa Clara and nearby cities. Our Casa Colonial Cuba is located at one km from the Ernesto “CHE” Guevara’s Memorial Square and one hour trip (by car) from Cayo Santa Maria (Santa Maria Key) and Cayo Las Brujas. also to the nearest airport is Abel Santamaría Airport, 10 km from the property.
