This cycling tour is always on paved road ( well sometimes the paved road is not paved anymore but, thats part of Cuba ) and the best thing, the traffic is very low because Vinales is an small town without industries, just pure nature. The cycling is a big adventure, you may begin with a sunny nice day in Cuba and 20 minutes later find your self under a strong rain storm, and thunder in the worse case, or a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. Having then the need to ask for help in a humble Cuban home and see how with almost nothing your bike can be fixed and feel the nice hospitality of the people that live outside of the touristic places, the real Cubans
In this trip you will be able to see the real Cuban houses and a pure nature almost virgin. Be a witness of the amazing landscapes in the areas that tourism has not reached yet. Pedaling always in a pavement road close to mountains and valleys feeling free from yourself, with the wind nicely blowing your face to finally get your reward, exploring to the Big Cavern of Santo Tomás, after some hours in the warm Cuban Sun.

Santo Tomas cave is located 18 km west from Viñales in “El Moncada” community. This biking use the same way to go and comeback in a good conditions street, but even when is the same way used the landscape around is so nice that will amaze you all the time. This is probably the most difficult trip of the “Biking Around Viñales” excursions provided for At Cuban Style, when we think the hills that have to be faced. The cave is not the only interest place to visit in this tour, the small Moncada community has a particular architecture where all the houses are made by clay bricks, the view from the Zip Line is definitely one of the best around Viñales and of course a quick visit to the Prehistorical wall painted if you feel the curiosity
Tour in the cave
With 46 km of gallery in 7 underground levels, Santo Tomas is the biggest cave in Cuba and 2th in South America, is a National Monument since 1989. The excursion inside the cave is provided for government tour guides that give you before start; a helmet and a flashlight. It takes around 2 hours to be finish exploring it only the 2 higher levels. Several different types of stalagmites and stalactites formed millions of years a go will be reveled to you in this adventure. Santo Tomas is definitely the most recommended place to visit for big cave enthusiasts. The extra cost of the visit to the cave is 10 cuc per person

Cancellation Policy
• In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
