Jeep Safari “COUNTRY DAY AT TUNGASUK AND BURGAMBILIA FARMS ”
Finca Tungasuk is an ecological family farm. You can find total mental harmony while enjoying perfect haute cuisine. The food is not always typically Cuban. Diners have the pleasure of tasting mushrooms, homemade passata and numerous types of Latin American beans. But there is also island flavor. You will have the pleasure of tasting some of Cuba's often forgotten fruits, such as guanabana, caimito, rollinia, annona and mamey colorado. The farm strives to recover them. At Finca Tungasuk you also learn the basics of planting, harvesting, weeding, irrigation and sustainable farm management.
Burgambilia is an example of an agroecological farm in Artemisa. Finca Burgambilia grew on a stony, sloping terrain, with no vegetation mass and at that time the dumping ground of the nearby town of Aguacate. With much sacrifice the stones were collected and the soil was reconstructed with Caimito ferrallitic soil, organic matter, rice straw and compost. La Bugambilia Agroecological Farm is an example of how much popular wisdom contributes to food production in Cuba, which is why it deserved the condition of National Excellence granted by the Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture Program.
