Holguín is a city in Cuba, capital of the homonymous province since 1976. Until then it was part of the former province of Oriente. It is the third largest province of Cuba, with an extension that represents 8.6 % of the total surface of the island. It is known as the city of parks. It also has the most imposing natural landscapes of eastern Cuba and incredible beaches. Holguín is at the moment one of the richest scenes of the Cuban nature. High mountain ranges, fertile plains and beaches of fine sands alternate in the landscape of this province of singular beauty and multiple attractions. It was in this area of Cuba (Bariay) where Admiral Christopher Columbus landed in 1492. Departure to the old sugar mill of Santa Lucia, tour of the railway workshop, you can see a small narrow gauge locomotive built in 1882, La Mambisita, now 140 years old since its manufacture, is included to finish the ride in a motor car. Continuation to the city of Holguin with a panoramic view of the Revolution Square. Transfer to the Loma de la Cruz, arrival to the viewpoint with fantastic views of the whole city. Guided city tour through the main streets and parks including the Plaza de la Marqueta, stop at the restaurant Bodeguita del Medio where a cocktail (Mojito) is included Lunch at a local restaurant with liquid included.
