"HAVANA AT NIGHT" Bike tour

On our “Havana by night” tour, we will discover Havana in a unique way, in just 4 hours. We pass the most important districts of Havana and get completely new impressions of the life in Havana by night. The ride with our e-bikes is, in contrast to most other metropolis of the world, a very relaxing experience, as the during day already very high security even increases at night. The streets are almost empty but still full of holes. Therefor we are always well lightened, while pedaling through the streets and alleys of Havana. During day already imposing buildings awake in the darkness, lightened by the spotlights in an unknown beauty.

Itinerary

• Our guide will be waiting for us for this night trip with the electric bikes (in the months of April to September at 19:00 h - and in the months of October to March at 18:00 h), in the Mariana Grajales Park, which is named after the mother of General Antonio Maceo (1845-96), one of the greatest heroes of the Revolution. On request, another meeting point can be organized for groups and individuals).
• We will start with a walk through very quiet streets, to get acquainted with our new "partner", the e-bike, and looking forward to enjoying a spectacular sunset, we will head towards the Havana Malecón, with its 8 km in length.
• From here on, the journey becomes stricter, as we enter the dark streets of Centro and Habana Vieja. In the On the way, we will cross magnificent squares, such as the Plaza de la Revolución, which, with its impressive lighting and obelisk, inspire astonishment in the night, under the tutelage of José Martí, Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos.
• We will surround the Latin American Stadium, home of the city's baseball team, the "Industriales", and from the port, coming from "Cuatro Caminos", we will slowly enter Old Havana.
• It's time to "hydrate", so we'll have a drink at a typical Cuban kiosk, where you can perhaps even get involved in a conversation with the locals. People here are very friendly and curious, so it is possible, too, that you have to answer some questions about their means of transport, unusual for them, or tell them, where it comes from. The Cubans They enjoy contact with people from other countries and their interest in other cultures is great.
• We have to continue our journey, because our tour will not last until dawn, although perhaps you would like to.
• Between Old Havana and Centro Habana, there is the Parque de la Fraternidad, the Capitolio, the Gran Teatro, the Parque Central, the Hotel Manzana,the Paseo del Prado, the historic Hotel Inglaterra and some other spectacular buildings.
• We will enjoy a little bit in this historical area of the streets of Old Havana, taking pictures and obtaining images that never we could have made it through the day.
• From there, we will move in the direction of Centro Habana, through Neptuno, San Nicolás, Galiano streets, which actually called Italia Avenue, we'll pass the famous Lair restaurant on Concordia Street, we'll sneak up to the Hamel's Alley and we will know something about the Afro-Cuban Santeria.
• We are almost at Havana Libre, a hotel that, just before the Revolution, briefly belonged to the Hilton chain.
• We will cross the Hotel Nacional, where many personalities from all over the world have stayed, before and after of the Revolution. Here the mafiosi held their meetings, in which they planned to make Cuba an island of pure pleasure and game. Depending on availability, we will visit the Hall of Fame and enjoy a "Mojito style mafia."
• Now we are back in the elegant residential neighborhood of El Vedado, with its diverse architecture, where our tour, before the night ends and a new day begins. Here they must say goodbye to their "electronic companions", and start your journey back to your accommodation.

• Please, show up in the meeting point 15 minutes before the time to begin the tour.
• The program is subject to change depending on the opening hours and the availability.
• All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.
• The guest must have good urban cycling experience. There are no bicycle lanes in Cuba.
• Attenders should can to ride a bicycle comfortably up to 20 kilometers (12.4 miles).
• It is recommended to wear ligh clothing. Sneaker, closed shoes or tennis shoes, comfortable and appropriate for walking outdoors. Night vision and moon protection. Rain can be expected at any time.
• At the meeting point, we will provide a short introduction to the e-bikes, client’s bike adjustments to each individual height and some general information about the roads and rules of Cuban traffic
