"Spanish Cooking Lesson" Tour

We propose an introducing new tour program in which travelers will not only witness masterly presentations of drink mixes, but also the elaboration and tasting of a cocktail and several classic dishes of Cuban cuisine. The interaction between bartender, chef, and client in the preparation of their favorite cocktail and dishes allows living a unique experience to those who come eager to taste the so-called cocktails like the Sangría Española, and the typical Spanish dishes of Almejas a la Marinera and Paella Valenciana.

Description:

COCKTAIL

Elaboration of the “Sangría Española". Presentation of the drink and its origin by our bartender. Our bartender will prepare the cocktail with the participation of the attendees, explaining the grammages and measurements of each of the ingredients. The assistants will follow the process and elaborate their own cocktail (Duration 15 minutes)

FIRST PLATE

Preparation of the dish called “Almejas a la Marinera“. Presentation of the dish by our chef.

The assistants must collaborate in the elaboration of the dish:

  • Cut onion to the Jardinera,
  • Peel some dried garlic,
  • Mix cornstarch and dry wine,

Our chef will elaborate the sauce and add the ingredients that the assistants have been preparing for the final preparation of the dish, explaining also the origin of the dish. (Duration of from 20 - 25 minutes)

MAIN DISH

Elaboration of the “Paella Valenciana”. Presentation of the dish by our chef.

The assistants must collaborate in the preparation of the dish,

  • Salt and season the meat,
  • Grate the tomato,
  • Peel garlic,
  • Follow the preparation process together with our chef.

Our cook will make the sauce counting the origin of the dish and giving participation to the attendees adding the ingredients that they have been preparing in the order indicated.

(Duration 1.40 hour)

To accompany the sangría the house offers a courtesy.

Clients will have lunch or dinner with the dishes that have been prepared.

At the end of lunch, the house offers a homemade dessert, 1 national drink, and coffee

Policies and Conditions

• This tour operates with a minimum of 2 passengers. Holiplus will reconfirm 48 hours before the departure of your tour. If the provider decides to cancel, for not meeting the minimum required amount of passengers, Holiplus will offer an alternative tour or fully refund cost of your trip.

• Approximate life of travels is between 1.30 and 1.40 hours approximately.

• The presentation including lunch or dinner is approximately 2:30 minutes.

• This tour program covers several locations, depending on space availability and number of customers.

• The program is developed in different locations such as partner restaurants and bars.

• The participating cooks have been members of the Cuban Culinary’s Association for over ten years.

• The participating bartenders have been members of the Cuban Bartenders’ Association for over ten years.

• Other cocktails and dishes of interest to the client can be included.

• Drinks consumed outside the menu will be paid separately.

Cancellation Policy

• In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 10% of the excursion fare will be charged. • Regarding cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before the departure time of the excursion, a penalty of 50% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Cancellations reported within 24 hours before the departure time and No-Show (no presentation at departure time), a penalty of 100% of the excursion fare will be applied. • Booking fees and credit card surcharges cannot be refunded in case of cancellation.
